On Friday April 11, TRAX completed the first of three 2-week training classes for USAID in Islamabad, Pakistan. The next class begins on May 19. The training courses, commissioned by USAID, cover a total of six weeks, and will train 60 Pakistani engineers and plant operators in modern thermal power plant technology and industry best practices.
TRAX subcontracted with our technology partner TTS to develop course content and assist in class instruction. This approach has met with great success; the first training class graduated all 20 students.
Our client, DINSONS, has also been recognized in this effort. DINSONS is a construction and engineering firm working as one of the leading contractors for USAID and USACE Projects in Pakistan. DINSONS is also the first ever Pakistan-based contractor to be recognized by the Design-Build Institute of America and win the prestigious 2012 DBIA National Design-Build Honor Award.
