End of Windows XP Support Means Upgrades for Older Simulators

Modern simulatorLYNCHBURG, VA – May 13, 2014

As of April 8, Microsoft no longer provides security updates or technical support for the Windows XP operating system. This was the standard PC OS for the past 12 years, and most TRAX simulators delivered over this timeframe included the latest version of XP.

Power utilities governed by regulatory obligations may find they no longer satisfy compliance requirements. In addition, many software vendors will no longer support their products running Windows XP because they are unable to receive Windows XP updates.

With this in mind, TRAX has begun reaching out to our customers to ensure no one is caught off-guard by this significant software development. If you have any questions about your TRAX simulator or would like to discuss this change directly with us, please contact TRAX.
