Many companies working to meet emerging energy demands are discovering that new hybrid solutions are often the best. TRAX has proven experience and success modeling alternative arrangements. Two cases in point: TRAX delivered optimization simulations (“What if…?” scenarios) for America’s first, large-scale, integrated hydroelectric system. This project consisted of 23 turbines in nine powerhouses with six major reservoirs interconnected to produce more than 1,000 MW of power.
In addition, one of the world’s only two operating compressed air energy storage (CAES) power plants was fully modeled by TRAX with simulations delivered in the 1990’s.
